Black and white photography never ages. It is too important to purists and too important to people who will contantly chase to perfect thier art. There’s something about black and white photography to me that always appeals more than colour photographs, there is more depth, contrast and punch than what a colour image can provide sometimes. there are textures and striking elements like wrinkles, expressions all filling negative space. You strike people more with contrast and storytelling, leading lines and composure. The basics have to be right otherwise, the image won’t work.
“Color is descriptive. Black and white is interpretive.”– Eliott Erwitt
A collection of my Black and White images. They vary from project to project but will mostly come from my Street Photography and Candid shots. I hope to add more portraits and landscapes as the Pandemic eases off, I’m looking forward to getting back to being creative in my free time again.
This collection will grow, you can subscribe to the newsletter and find out more.
